BLUE CHIP COFFEE RECIPE #1

Ummm Ummm Ummm I Roasted some ETHIOPIAN BEANS this morning just for our home. I have been so grateful and knee deep in Roasting for our EBF Family, that I clearly neglected our own supply, my hubby at least has enough to do his EXPRESSO SHOTS.

I am so excited for the pending feedback from our new family members as well, so WELCOME WELCOME.

In chat convo last night with a beautiful new member, the topic of COFFEE RECIPES came up and I promised to share one of my favorites. Here it is:

The Beautiful Raw Cacao Beans, this is the REAL CHOCOLATE, no its not that sugar mess that you get just from anywhere, of course I am growing a Cacao Plant, however, I doubt I will get Beans from it anytime soon, as its not native to my area, I just enjoy plants in my home.

The Aromatic and versatile Cinnamon Bark, another Luxury that is not native to our part of the Planet, but I am just INNERGETIC enough to manifest it into existence here at EBF.

The VERY EXOTIC VANILLA, I have been curing my Vanilla Beans now for exactly TWO YEARS, I do have containers that are as young as 1 month, I strive to start a new container every so often. If you have not looked into it, Vanilla Extract, has a sorted history in its production in an effort to give the general public a FALSE EXTRACT, in my humble opinion, and I promise you, if I ever run out, I will NOT be purchasing from unknown sources ever again. And let’s be clear, the REAL VANILLA EXTRACT is not native to our part of the planet either.

RAW SUGAR, there is none like it, I will not put white sugar or colored sugar, in my personal cup, now that I know better, as a matter of fact a wonderful Doctor remove white sugar from my life in 2012 and I have not been dependent on Allergy meds since then, when I do get reactions like moving to this new LAND, my body is going to adjust for a couple of weeks and then all is well, I still don’t like being in the middle of grass cutting day. ANYHOOO lol, I have actually acquired the straight amazing pallet for BLACK COFFEE too, my husband actually has started back on that preference, and because of that I always say to him, “Oh Hun, you gotta taste my cup” lol he just wants to enjoy HIS BLACK CUP OF COFFEE in PEACE, but I just wont let him rest lol.

The all consuming multi health benefit of TURMERIC, I am amazed how many don’t know about this SPICE even though it truly gives a peppery taste, it just pairs well with our regional coffee beans. Again although not native to this part of the planet, it is widely grown in the USA and we do keep it growing here at EBF.

HALF N HALF Pure Raw Milk, I’m gonna say, when you cant find this in the store, that is like DRAMATIC lol, so guess we better get our own Milking Cow around here, we are striving to remove one product at a time our need to run to the store, we want to be our OWN STORE for all of what we call ESSENTIAL PRODUCTS in our pantry.

Are you getting the picture? One day, at least in our EBF World, the cup of EXCELLENCE which my hubby lovingly calls BLUE CHIP QUALITY, with these ingredients, as we know it today, will CEASE TO EXIST to the general public, it will for a time be only available in this creative way probably on the UNDERGROUND MARKET ummm BARTERING LIKE GOLD?

Well here is my personal recipe that I don’t mind sharing:

EBF Coffee of choice and strength of choice (we use 12 grams of Grounds per cup)

1 Cinnamon Bark Stick (I keep 1 stick in the bottom of our Pecolator for 7 days, depending on the strength of your Cinnamon purchase, I have found the aroma and the granules that eventually break off, just add to the flavor all week thus I am no longer wasting such a valuable commodity)

Sweeten to your taste or don’t, we use RAW SUGAR, Pure Maple Syrup, or Honey, my honey preference is TUPELO often referred to as SWAMP HONEY when i can find it, if any of you actually harvest this UNIQUE HONEY please reach out to me, as an alternative my second favorite is WILD FLOWER)

1/2 teaspoon of Turmeric per cup, you will have to determine your preference, I will strongly suggest this ingredient is for EARLY MORNING as it provides a day full of INNERGY, but of course it depends on how your day is structured.

1 liter of GOOD WATER, we use a Berkey System for our household water, GOOD WATER is the PRIMARY INGREDIENT FOR AN EXCELLENT CUP OF COFFEE OR TEA, I don’t care what else we add there is no replacement for GOOD WATER.

We BREW our coffee in a variety of ways, couple years ago I was a POD Drinker, and it just doesn’t bring out the GIFT of the Coffee, to me anyway, I’ve learned the ART of BREWING and its actually in some circles called THE COWBOY COFFEE, the way I make it sometimes. We also do EXPRESSO SHOTS, and my absolute favorite that TKO FARMS mentioned earlier this year on one of their live feeds on FB is the PERCOLATOR, its very similar to my COWBOY METHOD, but a world apart due to the timing and the DRIP and the RESTING PHASE after the BREW. I just had to purchase our own percolator, WOW there is no turning back now.

I guess by most standards, hubby and I enjoy a strong cup of EXCELLENCE so we percolate for 14 minutes on medium high gas stove, but the magic number is once you start seeing the coffee percolate, we brew for 7 minutes from that point, then turn off the heat, and REST for 3 minutes, to allow the elixir to drip into the bottom from the coffee grounds.

While that is happening, I place a 1/2 tsp of Vanilla in our cups, the sweetener, and stir those two ingredients, pour the ELIXIR into the cup, THEN pour the RAW MILK HALF N HALF, you do not want to pour in the half n half before as the Vanilla Extract will have an effect on the half n half.

and then ENJOY, I literally love smelling the aromas for a couple minutes and then I indulge.
